At Pods & Petals Giftlab, we understand that timing is often just as important as the gift itself. Whether it is a birthday surprise, a corporate event, a hospital delivery or a festive celebration, proper scheduling ensures your gift arrives fresh, presentable and on time.

Delivery availability depends on:

  • Product Type (Perishable, Non-Perishable or Lightweight Eligible)
  • Delivery Location (Klang Valley or Outstation)
  • Order Time
  • Seasonal Demand
Please refer to the guidelines below to understand how delivery dates and time slots are allocated.

Product Types & Delivery Method

For clarity, our products are divided into two main categories:

A. Perishables
Fresh flowers, Fruits, Cakes and helium balloons.

B. Non-PerishablesHampers,
Food Gift, Baby Gifts, preserved flowers, silk/soap/artificial arrangements and other durable gift items.
Delivery rules differ slightly depending on category and location.

C. Lightweight Eligible Items (Greeting Cards & Selected Small Gifts)
Lightweight Eligible items are small non-perishable products that are delivered via courier only.

These items are:

  • Available for delivery within Peninsula
  • Malaysia only
  • Not deliverable to East Malaysia (Sabah & Sarawak)
  • Not eligible for same-day delivery
  • Delivered during standard courier working hours


For Peninsula Malaysia deliveries:

  • Minimum 2–3 working days’ notice required
  • No time slot selection available


The checkout calendar will automatically block earlier dates and unsupported locations.

If Lightweight Eligible items are combined with other product types, the system will apply the applicable delivery rule accordingly.

A. PERISHABLE ITEMS

These items require time-sensitive handling and careful routing.

A1. Delivery Coverage

Within Klang Valley
Fulfilled directly by Giftlab’s direct dispatch partners.

Outside Klang Valley (Peninsula Malaysia / Sabah / Sarawak)
Fulfilled through our network of vetted associate florists and partners in respective cities and towns. Same-day delivery may still be possible outside Klang Valley, subject to local partner availability.

A2. Same-Day Delivery Cut-Off Time

Monday – Friday

Orders placed before 4:00 PM (GMT +8)
→ Eligible for Same-Day Delivery

Orders placed after 4:00 PM
→ Earliest delivery date: Next Day

Saturday

Orders placed before 12:00 PM
→ Eligible for Same-Day Delivery

Orders placed after 12:00 PM
→ Earliest delivery date: Monday

Sunday & Public Holidays

Delivery availability depends on product type and location.
Additional charges may apply.
Unavailable dates will automatically be blocked in the checkout calendar.

A3. Delivery Time Slots (Perishables – Klang Valley)

Customers may select:
  • Morning: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
  • Standard: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Evening: 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Same-Day Slot Logic:
  • Order before 12:00 PM → Standard & Evening available
  • Order after 12:00 PM but before cut-off → Evening only
  • After cut-off → Same-day disabled

Time slot availability may vary depending on delivery load.

A4. Peak Season Adjustments

During peak periods such as:

  • Valentine’s Day
  • Mother’s Day
  • Chinese New Year
  • Hari Raya
  • Deepavali / Christmas


Same-day cut-off times may be earlier than usual due to high order volume.

We strongly recommend placing festive orders early to avoid disappointment.

A5. Urgent or Exceptional Requests

While the system enforces scheduling rules to ensure smooth operations, we understand that certain occasions cannot wait.

This flexibility is one of the key differences between Giftlab and many automated-only platforms.

B. NON-PERISHABLE ITEMS (HAMPERS & GIFTS)

B1. Delivery Within Klang Valley

Handled via direct dispatch partners.

Same-day delivery is available and follows the same cut-off time rules as perishable items.

B2. Delivery Outside Klang Valley – Peninsula Malaysia (Courier)

Non-perishable items are shipped via courier from Klang Valley.

  • Minimum 2–3 working days’ notice required
  • No same-day delivery available
  • Delivery made during standard courier working hours


The checkout calendar will automatically block dates earlier than the required processing time.

B3. Delivery to East Malaysia (Sabah & Sarawak)

Non-perishable items are delivered via courier.

  • Minimum 3–5 working days’ notice required
  • No time slot selection available
  • Delivery during standard courier working hours


Customers are advised to allow buffer time during festive periods.

SPECIAL NOTICE
FESTIVE HAMPERS (Open Date Delivery Range)

Plan Ahead, Especially During Festive Seasons

Major occasions experience significantly higher order volumes.
Early orders ensure better time slot availability and smoother delivery experience.

During major festive seasons such as Chinese New Year, Hari Raya, Deepavali and Christmas, hamper deliveries especially within Klang Valley may be arranged progressively.

This is to ensure successful delivery as many recipients may:

  • Not be at home
  • Be travelling
  • Be uncontactable
  • Prefer delivery closer to celebration dates

For example:
If you indicate 10 February as your preferred first delivery date, the delivery range may be arranged between 10
February to 15 February.
Our Customer Service team will attempt to coordinate and confirm within this agreed range.
This approach allows us to ensure successful delivery while managing high festive demand responsibly. Delivery during the festive celebration period itself can still be arranged subject to availability.

MIXED ORDERS

If your cart contains items with different delivery requirements (for example perishable and courier items), the system may apply the more restrictive delivery rule or prompt separate orders.

In certain cases, you may be advised to place separate orders to ensure accurate delivery scheduling.

Lightweight Eligible items are restricted to Peninsula Malaysia delivery and are fulfilled via courier only.
